American History The Ineffectual Elephant in the Room: Why Reconstruction Failed to Liberate Southern Blacks
One of the requirements for my political science major at Clark was a class on American History. While I was studying abroad in Scotland, I decided to fulfill that requirement, as I felt it would be more interesting to study the history from an outside perspective. The class focused on American History from 1787-1890, and focused mainly on slavery, the Civil War, and Reconstruction, and the main essay I wrote while in the course was focused on the failures of Reconstruction.
