Computer Science Data Visualization 2020 Presidential Election Results and Mask Wearing Tendencies
The final project for my Intro to Computing course was to conduct data analytics and create a visualization of the results. With my dual interest in tech and politics, I knew I wanted to focus on political data. As I was completing the project in December 2020, I chose to look at the results of the presidential election and compare it to the results of a NY Times study on mask wearing tendencies by state, hypothesizing there may be a correlation between which candidate (and party) won and the tendency to wear a mask during the pandemic.
